Stem Cell treatment for Cancer

Cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells have high cytotoxic activity against tumor cells. Dendritic cells (DCs) are the strongest antigen-presenting cells (APC) and could increase the cytotoxic activity of immunologic effector cells against tumor cells.

Stage 1) Stem cell therapy - Using Mesenchymal stem cells 20,000,000

Mesenchymal stem cells will suppress the tumor. These cells will be injected
via IV injection.

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are multipotent progenitor cells isolated by various relatively easily accessible tissues, such as bone marrow and cord blood. MSCs gained attention because of their ease for in vitro expansion together with their multilineage potential. More recently, in vitro and in vivo immunosuppressive properties have been ascribed to them, as they are able to modulate the function of all major immune cell populations, thus impeding immune responses. The underlying mechanisms of their differentiation and function are not thoroughly understood, but still they represent important candidates for tissue regeneration and manipulation of the immune response in graft rejection, graft versus host disease, and autoimmune disorders.

Stage 2) Immunotherapy

We would draw blood or if able withdraw tissue from the cancer-

We would then co-culture Dendrytic cells and CIK cells. This would then be
given to the patient each week for 7 weeks. This cell combination would
target and potentially destroy the cancer in the patient.

The patient would be required to be based in Bangkok, Thailand for a period of 8
weeks.
